Album Review: Cold Summer - Self-Titled

Feast choosing to focus more on his clean vocals in “Ships” is a decision that sits well with the gentler tone of the song. A further foray into their ever expanding experiments, the melody of the song is catchier than a winter cold and the muffled bridge goes down with as much love as several packets of Soothers would. The cliched ‘1, 2 3 go’ at the beginning of “Processed lives” could be done without, but, y’know what? Go, they do. This song makes you want to jump as high as you bloody well can. The captivating pace changing throughout makes it the kind of song that’ll leave you breathless and desperate for water at a gig. It’s a sure-fire display of a band making headway in an overcrowded genre.
